  • Felicisimo Ampon was the shortest player ever to tour the Tennis circuit. He will go on being the Philippines no 1 till well into his forties, representing his country in Davis Cup till 1968 (aged 48 !!!). In 1952 and 1953, he had reached the ¼ final of Roland-Garros, the first year by putting up a great fight against world no1, Frank Sedgman, and the second year by beating the famous Budge Patty.
