  • Frew McMillan, who was the only player on circuit to play double handed from both sides (he used a long leather wrapped handle Dunlop racket), will later team up in doubles with Bob Hewitt, Australian born but resident of South Africa through his marriage, and the brilliant team will total 5 Grand Slam doubles titles (including Wimbledon) and a lot of doubles titles on the circuit during the Open era. McMillan also got 4 mixed doubles titles in Slam tournaments.
